Neal, I haven't heard of any new pacers that would not have to be implanted similar to the previous pacers. There is a new Electric Cardioversion Device that is not implanted but worn around the chest outside the skin. That would only be for special cases of people who needed cardioversions to stop a dangerous V-tac or something similar that was life threatening.
I have put out some inquiries about such a device and if I get any answers I will let you know.
