Sounds like you are doing well. I would not "pop" a Rythmol if you go into A fib before checking with your cardiologist first, especially if you are on any other heart medications. My Lopressor was prescribed by my doctor to take on a p.r.n. basis if I do go into A fib. So far it has done the trick, but I would never advise anyone to do the same without checking with their doctor. There are so many reactions and contra-indications with heart drugs that you are better off not self-medicating, even though you do have medication left over from a previous time. It sounds like you are not having A fib problems three weeks post maze, however.
