Jack & Ed (and the many others who helped me and others): Christmas 2000, was at the time a mixed blessing, as I was hopeful that my upcoming 1/18/01 maze would be successful, but I was internally VERY apprehensive about the unknown.
That now being behind me, this Christmas, and I hope many more are truly blessings. I did not ever expect to feel as well as I have since the maze.
For those still "thinking of it", the apprehension of such an undertaking (whoops, bad word choice) is by far the worst part of the whole procedure. And, given the approx. 97% success rate at the CC (no fatalities in 300 mazes and only one stroke), the small risk is WELL worth the reward.
Whatever "cure" works for any afibbers out there, I hope and pray that hundreds more are free of it's curse by next year at this time.
