I took a reverse approach that others might want to consider. I contacted my MAZE surgeon Dr. Millar directly and then went to the cardiologist he recommended in his building. Interestingly, even that cardiologist tried to steer me away from the MAZE until he found I was in Congestive Heart Failure. If it wasn't for this newsgroup, I might have bought his baloney about ablating the AV node and installing a pacemaker. I hope to meet that cardiologist on the ski slope someday - and blow him away.

So, others having a hard time getting a cardiologist to refer them might want to get a referal to a new cardiologist from a MAZE surgeon.
