Angie, I do not think that your cardiologist is correct here. First of all, I was a self referred lone AF and I had absolutely no problem. Secondly, as mentioned in Dr. McCarthy's post the other day, he is doing a fair amount of lone AF maze surgery. One of his research reports seems to deal specifically with lone AF and the maze. Call his office. They will answer this for you.
