They were sent to the email address I use at this newsgroup, so anyone that has posted here has some risk.
Besides keeping your anti-virus software up to date (I use Norton), it is important to NEVER open attachments without verifying them with the person who sent them. Any "executable" file or script could contain a virus and do damage.
