UPMC surgeons use surgical pen that draws lines on heart to treat atrial fibrillation
Surgeons at the University of Pittsburgh are evaluating an experimental surgical "pen" for the treatment of the most common cardiac rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation. The device allows lines to be "drawn" on the heart's upper chambers to create a maze that blocks the irregular rhythms.Contact: Lisa Rossi
