Hi Jack! Since you're the guru I have a question. I talked to a surgeon about MAZE and he explained that he does a "new" Cox procedure using a cryogenic probe. He does the right atrium with the heart beating and then puts patient on H-L machine, stops heart and does the left atrium. I think he surgically opens the left atrium and then uses the probe to kill the nerves but I'm not entirely clear on this matter. He has done three in Tampa but dozens in Guadalahara, Mexico where he says they have established a MAZE surigal training "university" for Latin American surgeons. Can you enlighten me and others further?
