Thanks for the encouragement - it really helps. Now that I have had time to think about my visit to the cardiologist yesterday, I really don't think it is reasonable to expect an atria that has been cut open three weeks ago to generate a "P" wave, so I am not sure I agree with him that I was in atrial flutter at 70 bpm. It could be NSR. Sometimes at night I do get a flutter at 120 bpm that lasts a short time, but for almost all of the 24 hours I am at 70 bpm. The cardiologist had never dealt with a Maze before and I think he was at a loss as to how to handle it.

I have decided to just wait out the three months healing time and take it from there.
