That was a very good and complete description, Cyle. Your history sounded so much like mine. We are all so thankful for this board as it is the only really good source of patient information available. As your heart heals the running will come back. I actually ran a little at three weeks while attempting to keep my heart rate below 120. I ran my first race at four months (a ten miler). At six months, I was able to finish third in the Portland (OR.) 50 miler. It seems like it takes longer for speed to come back. Endurance returns pretty easily. Best of luck to you.
