I'm glad to hear you're feeling stronger each day. I too experienced the elevated heart rate after the Maze; I think it was a combination of anemia from surgery and the incisions into the heart. I was also on a beta blocker for approximately 3 months post-op. I am now off all medications and my heart rate is down - it normally is around 78 bpm. So hang in there, I'm sure you'll do great.
