I have not been on this board for months. Just thought I would check in. My maze was over one year ago at Ohio State. Something didn't go quite right and a pacemaker was implanted. I am still 100% pacemaker dependant...but the good news is that I am on no medication and have been AF free for one year. I am playing on a fast pitch baseball team and an ice hockey team. I am not close to as fast as I once was, and I tire easily but I can still play. The bottom line - even though things didn't go perfectly I am still much better off than I was before surgery. Just the fact that I can sit on the couch and relax with a beer or a glass of wine makes it all worthwhile!
