TC,
Immediately after surgery my resting heart rate hovered around 100; now 9 months later it is usually around 80. The doctors gave me the same explanation as Carl posted plus I was anemic right after surgery so that also contributes to a faster rate. I would presume that many, if not all, maze patients would experience a low blood count for at least a while. My heart also speeds up more quickly than before when excersing, but seems to calm down as I continue to excercise. Does anyone else have this happen?
