Helen, it is great to hear that everything went so well for you. You sound about like I felt when I had my maze. Compared to a earlier surgery I had for prostate cancer, the Maze was like a walk in the park. The pain and discomfort was only a fraction of what it was with the prior surgery.
Your strength should rapidly increase day by day. It would be great to get into a rehab program if you are not already in one. My surgeon put me into one, but I thought they were progressing too slow and I graduated myself early. It probably wasn't a wise decision, but I felt that they were being overly cautious, because I felt so good. If you get into a program, don't do as I did, but continue with the program.
